Project story

Opposite St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of London, this fit-out project for Fidelity International created an inspiring work space – bringing people together through corporate, creative and social environments.

Having delivered the new 4 Cannon Street building as the main contractor, our fit-out business delivered eight levels of high-end, sustainable office space across 108,000 sq ft in 32 weeks.

From the elegant executive floor to the 10,000 sq ft grand entrance to the high-tech basement; feature ceilings, stone and wood flooring, glazed partitions, Skyfold walls and specialist joinery, brought together smart design with state-of-the-art technology.

Wide open-plan floors, breakout spaces and tea points encourage collaboration while feature staircases remove barriers between departments.

Floor to ceiling windows bring the outside in and with an entire garden level and a panoramic roof terrace offering stunning views across the capital, the global investment company will benefit from some of the most sought-after office space in the city.

points of note

The WELL Gold standard

With maximum sustainability in mind, the project is targeting WELL Gold Certification and will be one of the few projects in the UK to achieve this accreditation. The building materials for the fit out have also been carefully selected to ensure they don’t compromise the BREEAM Excellent accreditation received for the initial build.

It's complicated

A church directly behind the project means the team had strict noise restrictions to work to. The logistics team coordinated a complicated delivery schedule in the City of London which involved operating next door to another busy construction site that shared the same access routes. Weekly coordination and communication strategies were in place to ensure successful delivery.

Broadcasting brilliance

Having delivered a number of high-tech, zero tolerance, broadcasting facilities for global clients, we are using our expertise in precision fit out and technical understanding - working closely with our client's specialist supplier to deliver a state-of-the-art studio.

WELLness from the inside out

Inspired by the project’s sustainability aspirations, our team designed the site set-up to create a WELL level environment for the office and welfare areas – setting new standards for the business and giving our staff the best conditions to work in. The site team used initiatives such as air quality management systems, sit-stand desks, designated break-out spaces, a games room, and a feature green wall.
