Mace drives defence sector growth with appointment of new lead

Mace, the global company of consultancy and construction experts, has appointed Graham Seage as its Head of Defence and National Security, placing him in charge of a team of 430 people working across Europe.

In this role, Graham will spearhead Mace's work on critical defence programmes, underscoring the firm’s continued growth in the sector. This will involve building on longstanding client relationships with the Ministry of Defence, Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Defence Equipment & Support and Babcock, as well as developing the new relationships and securing new commissions across Europe.  

Graham brings over three decades of industry expertise to his new position, marked by a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams across the utilities, rail, highways, aviation, marine, defence and sports sectors.

Graham joined Mace in 2007 and has carried out several notable roles in his time at the business, including heading up Mace’s utilities division and serving as commercial director on major programmes such as the London 2012 Olympics and HS2.

Graham Seage has been serving as the interim Head of Defence and National Security since February 2024 after taking over from David Martin who is now Managing Director of Mace’s Asia Pacific global hub. Graham will report to Andy Beard who has recently been appointed as Managing Director for Infrastructure in Europe.
