Mace offers paid work experience to 30 black interns
Mace, the international consultancy and construction company, has committed to offer paid internships to 30 black young people, as part of the 10,000 Black Interns initiative.
The initiative is designed to help transform prospects of young black people in the UK by offering paid work experience in different industries, as well as training and development opportunities.
Interns will have the opportunity to develop their soft skills, financial skills and most importantly their own network of high achieving professionals.
From major projects and programmes in the UK transport sector, to some of the largest commercial and residential developments in the country, our interns will gain fantastic real estate management and construction experience.
In September 2020, Mace launched its new Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, shaping our approach to addressing equality, inclusion and diversity.
Florence Hayden, Group Human Resources Director at Mace, said:
“We are delighted to be part of the 10,000 Black Interns initiative supported by the CBI and David Cameron, former Prime Minister. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain work experience at Mace and get a start in their careers. We are proud to have 30 interns joining our business, reflecting our commitment to diversity across Mace and the wider construction sector.”
