Macro and Citrix win in Milan

Mace Macro and Citrix were among the winners at the 2016 European FM awards in Milan. Both companies were presented with an award in the ‘Partners Across Borders’ category, celebrating their outstanding and valuable relationship.   

The competition, set up by the European Facility Management Network, invites organisations with a client partnership located in more than one European country to enter. The winner of the award has to be able to demonstrate that they are a leading organisation within the sector.

As a key client for Macro, Citrix was chosen to best demonstrate the outstanding relationship Macro has with its clients as an international Company. Citrix, a global software company began the partnership back in December 2013 when Macro initially provided it with FM support services in five locations across Europe.

Since 2013, Citrix and Macro have worked together – at mobilisation, in-country workshops were held with local leadership teams to understand the current service delivery and how it performed against expectations and budget.

The Macro and Citrix teams examined the employee demographic, supply chain, facilities standards, existing contracts and local expectations to come up with a re-structuring of outsourced services that enables clearer vision, flexible scalability and financial certainty. Now in 2016, Macro provide TFM services to 21 Citrix buildings at 17 locations in 12 countries across EMEA.

Richard Margetts, Head of Real Estate and Facilities Services EMEA for Citrix, said: “The cross border partnership that has been created delivers confidence in the service, cost benefits and a collaborative relationship in all aspects of the provision of FM services.”

Managing Director for Macro, Ross Abbate attended the awards ceremony in Italy with Jim Brown, Macro Account Manager for Citrix.
